eBook User Guide
This guide contains step-by-step instructions for opening an ITCourseware eBook in Adobe Digital Editions. If you are purchasing an eBook for someone else, such as a student in one of your classes, then they must perform these steps on their computer using their Adobe ID. Finally, please note that you will perform steps 1, 2, and 3 only once. For future purchases, you can skip to 4.
- Download Adobe Digital Editions
- Install Adobe Digital Editions
- Run the installation program you downloaded and on the first screen, accept the license terms. Click Next.

- Choose your desired installation options – at a minimum, we recommend you Associate .acsm and .eput file types. Click Next.

- Confirm the installation location. Click Install.

- On the final page of the installer, click Close.
- Run the installation program you downloaded and on the first screen, accept the license terms. Click Next.
- Authorize your Computer
- Adobe Digital Editions will automatically launch. Click on the Help menu item and choose Authorize Computer.

- If you have an Adobe ID, enter it along with your password. Do NOT choose the checkbox to authorize without a computer ID.

- If you do not have an Adobe ID, select the Create an Adobe ID link. This will open Adobe's website. After you're done, return to the Computer Authorization dialog box and enter your new Adobe ID and password.
- Click Authorize.
- Your computer is now authorized with your Adobe ID. Click OK.

- Adobe Digital Editions will automatically launch. Click on the Help menu item and choose Authorize Computer.
- Purchase an eBook
- If you have not already done so, purchase your eBook from http://www.itcourseware.com.
- Open your eBook
- Once you've purchased an eBook, click on the link in your confirmation email to access the ITCourseware eBook fulfillment page.

- On the ITCourseware eBook fulfillment page, you can click on a link to download your eBook. If you have purchased the eBook for someone else, like a student in one of your classes, then you should forward the link to the student so they can open it on their machine and associate the eBook with their Adobe ID.

- You can open the eBook file directly within Adobe Digital Editions, or you can save it to your system. If you choose to open it directly, skip to step 5f. If you choose to save the file, then continue with step 5d.

- If you choose to save the file, then you can open it within Adobe Digital Editions by choosing the File | Add to Library menu item.

- In the dialog, you should choose Adobe Content Server Message as the file type so the downloaded file will be displayed.

- You can now read your ITCourseware eBook within Adobe Digital Editions.

- Once you've purchased an eBook, click on the link in your confirmation email to access the ITCourseware eBook fulfillment page.
