The first module begins with an overview of the new Visual Basic features provided by .NET 2.0, such as generic types and partial classes. Example programs are provided to illustrate each important new feature. The module then covers new features in the .NET Framework, including Windows Forms, ADO.NET and XML. The second module provides an in-depth look at ASP.NET 2.0, which is a major advance in Web programming. It covers new features like personalization, web parts, master pages, themes and skins, and new data binding. Visual Web Developer is introduced. This course is not a high-level overview of new features but has significant coverage of .NET 2.0 coding techniques.
